Mollywood actor Vinayakan comes on board for Rajinikanth's most-anticipated film Jailer

Though team Jailer has been tight-lipped about its cast and crew, it looks like updates are coming about the project, though in an unofficial manner. The film which has Rajinikanth playing the titular role went on floors yesterday in Chennai. The Superstar had confirmed earlier that the project would begin on August 22.

Action choreographer Stun Siva, known for his works in several notable movies like Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and recent Tollywood outings Akhanda and Krack, took to his Twitter page to inform his inclusion in Jailer as its stunt director. He also posted a picture along with the film's director Nelson Dilipkumar.

Now, we hear that Malayalam actor Vinayakan, who is familiar to Kollywood audiences through Thimiru and Mariyan, is also a part of Jailer. According to a source, Vinayakan and Yogi Babu, a regular in Nelson's movies, were seen together in a sequence which was shot yesterday in a jail.

Nelson's previous project Beast, too, had a Mollywood actor, Shine Tom Chacko. He had limited screen space in the movie and his sarcastic comment on the film post its release drew flak from fans of Vijay, who played the lead in the project.

It's been almost a decade since Vinayakan has been part of a Tamil film. The actor has had three releases this year in Malayalam - Pada, Oruthee and Panthrandu. He played a crucial part in Gautham Menon's Vikram-starrer Dhruva Natchathiram, but the long-delayed project is yet to see the light of the day.

Movie lovers and fans of Rajinikanth are now curious to know what character the Mollywood star would be essaying in Jailer. An official announcement on his inclusion in the movie is awaited.
