Bharath

We had told you Bharath Niwas and Vani Bhojan were teaming up for the Tamil remake of the Malayalam thriller, Love—bearing the same name. The title look poster of Love was released on Twitter, by Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, a few days ago.

Directed by newbie RP Bala, who helmed the original as well, the film has cinematography by PG Muthiah and music by Ronnie Raphael.

Love is the 50th film of Bharath Niwas. Also starring Radha Ravi, Vivek Prasanna and Daniel Annie Pope in important roles, this one, produced by Bala's RP Films, will be a family drama with thriller elements.

Bala, who has worked as a dialogue writer on films like Puli Murugan, Lucifer, Kurup, and Salute, had told The Times of India, "Love is essentially a family drama, but underneath the story, there will be a thriller element that will be constantly felt by the audience."

On choosing Bharath, Bala had said he wanted a fit actor for the protagonist’s role. “Bharath felt right as he has a great physique. Vani Bhojan plays his wife in the film. They share a great rapport, which is needed for these characters.”

Interestingly, Bharath and Vani Bhojan had also shot together for a thriller, directed by newcomer M Sakthivel. Talking about his maiden directorial venture, Sakthivel had told Cinema Express, "It is an intriguing slasher-thriller set in the thick of darkness. We shot mostly at night in and around Tenkasi, Ambasamudram and Chennai!"

Further, speaking about casting, Sakthivel was quoted in Cinema Express saying, "The character demands an effective performer over a star. And since I have known Bharath for a long time, I felt he was apt for the part."

The untitled film also stars filmmaker-actor KS Ravikumar in a prominent role. Bankrolled by G Dilli Babu of Axess Film Factory, this one was shot by S Suresh Bala and edited by R Kalai Vaanan.
