Mohanlal and Blessy, the celebrated actor-director duo of Malayalam cinema, are reportedly set to reunite after a long gap of 13 years for a new project.
Mohanlal, the veteran actor is set to reinvent himself, with a handful promising projects in the pipeline. With the massive success of his recent outing Neru, the superstar has finally big goodbye to the low phase in his career. Now, after a string of disappointing outings, Mohanlal is set to team up with some of the finest talents in the film industry for his upcoming projects. Now, the latest reports suggest that the National award winner is set to reunite with Aadujeevitham director Blessy, for a project.
Mohanlal and Blessy to reunite after 13 years?
According to the grapevine, Mohanlal is set to reunite with senior director Blessy for a project, very soon. Even though there are no updates on the duo’s upcoming film, the rumourmills suggest that the project will go on floors after the release of the filmmaker’s ambitious film Aadujeevitham, which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role. However, both the actor and the director have not reacted to any of these reports, so far. An official update on Mohanlal and Blessy’s new project is expected to be out very soon.
For the uninitiated, Blessy has indeed planned to team up with the Malayalam superstar for a project, for quite some time now. Even though the senior director narrated a couple of ideas to Mohanlal before the pandemic, nothing materialized due to the long delay in the production of Aadujeevitham. However, the confirmation of the popular actor-director duo’s upcoming project has left both the Mohanlal fans and Malayalam cine-goers, highly excited.

Mohanlal and Blessy’s previous outings
The veteran actor and supremely talented filmmaker have earlier teamed up for three highly acclaimed films in the past. Mohanlal delivered one of the finest performances of his acting career in Thanmathra, which marked his first outing with Blessy. The superstar played the role of Alzheimer's patient Rameshan Nair to near perfection in the film, which earned cult status over the years.

Later, the duo reunited for Bhramaram, the suspense thriller film which hit the theatres in 2009. Later in 2011, the duo team up for a third time for the romantic drama, Pranayam. Mohanlal stunned the audience with his stunning transformation and extraordinary performance in the role of Professor Mathews in the movie and won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor.
