While the buzz for Mohanlal’s Monster has been low, the superstar and his team has claimed that the film will provide a different viewing experience, just like his previous collaboration with its director Vysakh.

In a series of videos released on the actor’s social media pages, Mohanlal talked about the movie and why he was excited to be part of it. Scripted by Udaykrishna, the film is set to hit theatres on October 21.

“Monster has a different thought, it’s not something that a lot of people would readily take up. Also, more than its novel idea, it’s about how we have presented it in the film. When you get an idea, you are also responsible for how you present it. I believe Vysakh had done complete justice to it along with its scriptwriter,” said Mohanlal.

The film also has Sudev Nair, Lakshmi Manchu, Honey Rose and Lena as part of the cast. “I have watched the movie and I believe everyone has done their parts well. It’s a huge blessing as an actor to be part of such films,” he said.

Similar to how Vysakh’s Pulimurugan was lauded for its action scenes, Mohanlal said that Monster too has stunts that will stand apart. The film has two stunt sequences – both of which have “varied styles”. “It’s a movie that has given enough importance to action. The audience will understand that when they watch the movie. It’s different in terms of the style as well as opponents. We have also taken due time to shoot the action scenes,” he said, adding that they had hired stunt choreographers to do the stunt scenes as it required precision and care.

The movie is set to clash with Nivin Pauly’s Padavettu in theatres during the Diwali weekend. Monster also marks Mohanlal’s second theatrical release this year and probably his final one for 2022.
