The Malayalam superstar, who worked with Puneeth Rajkumar in Mythri, took to social media about the late actor’s James that releases in theatres tomorrow on his birthday.
The outpouring of love for the late Puneeth Rajkumar following his demise, not only from Karnataka, but across the country, was testimony not only of his star power, but also the bond he shared with friends and colleagues from other film industries. While stars like Ram Charan, Suriya, Vijay, Vishal, Vijay Sethupathi, among many others, have taken out time to visit his samadhi and his family, Chiranjeevi recently sent a special video message during the pre-release event of Puneeth’s last commercial film, James.
Earlier today, Mollywood superstar Mohanlal, who had worked with Puneeth in the 2015 BM Giriraj directed Mythri took to social media to pen a special note on the occasion of the impending release of James. He wrote, “Dear Puneeth, I'm sure your film #James is going to be a great one. It will have a special place in all our hearts. We miss you...”
When Puneeth passed away, Mohanlal had written that it felt like he’d lost a younger brother. ““The loss of Puneeth Rajkumar has come as a terrible shock. I still find the news hard to believe. It feels as though I have lost a younger brother. My thoughts & prayers go out to his family with whom I share a close bond. I wish them strength & comfort to cope with this loss,” he had tweeted.
James, directed by Chethan Kumar, is the late Power Star’s last commercial film and is getting a five-language (Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi) release on March 17, which is the actor’s birthday. Since Puneeth passed away before dubbing for the film, his brother, Century Star Shivarajkumar has filled in for him.
