This lawyer-actor will reportedly be scripting the upcoming movie of the Drishyam duo
A Mohanlal-Jeethu Joseph film comes with its own set of massive expectations. The Drishyam duo’s fifth collaboration, which was announced earlier this month, has now locked on a date to begin its shoot.
While the team had announced that the movie will go on floors in August, we now have it that they have zeroed in on a date for the pooja function – August 17, which also marks the start of the auspicious month of Chingam in the Malayalam calendar.

Though Jeethu had earlier told OTTplay that it’s too early to reveal anything about the movie, reports suggest that the film will be a courtroom drama. It will also mark the scriptwriting debut of lawyer and actor Santhi Mayadevi, who had starred as an advocate in Drishyam 2 and was also recently part of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vijay-starrer Leo.
Mohanlal to complete Vrushabha’s UK schedule first
However, before Mohanlal teams up with Jeethu again, the superstar will be wrapping up a schedule of his upcoming pan-Indian movie Vrushabha. The film, which will be made in Malayalam and Telugu, is being directed by Kannada filmmaker Nanda Kishore and has actors such as Shanaya Kapoor, Roshann Meka and singer Zahrah S Khan set for their Mollywood debuts.
The superstar had earlier stated that the film is being made on a big scale and will be a period action-drama revolving around a father and son, and has several battle sequences that will be shot in wintry conditions. The said portions will be filmed in the UK, where the actor is currently in.
Incidentally, the last time Mohanlal was in the UK, he was shooting for Jeethu Joseph’s Ram, which is yet to be completed. The movie has hit a roadblock due to unfavourable weather conditions at its next locations. However, soon after Mohanlal completes his current schedule of Vrushabha, he will be travelling back to Kerala to begin work on his next collaboration with Jeethu.
