The shoot of the film, scripted by Rajesh Jayaraman, is currently progressing
Mohanlal does an encore of the underlying theme of Shaji Kailas’ film in the latest dialogue teaser of Alone, which was released on Vijayadashami day.
As he had said while unveiling the film’s title a few weeks ago, the actor’s repeated the same line with more dramatic effect in the teaser that he shared on social media page.
“Real heroes are always alone” – goes the narration while the camera slowly zooms in on his character’s reflection in the mirror. The teaser also revealed Mohanlal’s look in the movie, complete with a pair of thick glasses, black t-shirt and a gold chain.
The movie marks the first collaboration between Mohanlal and Shaji Kailas after a span of 12 years. The superhit duo, who had earlier teamed up for movies such as Aaraam Thampuran and Narasimham, had previously united for Red Chillies.
The movie, which is currently being shot in Kochi, is scripted by Rajesh Jayaraman, has Abhinandan Ramanujam as its cinematographer and Jakes Bejoy handling the music department. It’s the first time that Jakes, who has scored the music for several recent hit films such as Kuruthi and Bhramam, is working in a Shaji Kailas-Mohanlal movie.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal also has completed the shoot of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Bro Daddy and also Jeethu Joseph’s mystery thriller titled 12th Man.
The actor is reportedly next set to work on Priyadarshan’s segment in the Netflix anthology, based on MT Vasudevan Nair’s stories. Mohanlal will play a timber trader in the segment, based on Olavum Theeravum. The actor will also team up with Priyadarshan for a film on boxing next year.
Mohanlal is also expected to resume work on his directorial Barroz by the end of this year. The team had shot for a week in April, before they were forced to halt production due to the second wave of COVID-19 cases in Kerala.
