The veteran actor announced the news during his visit to Tirumala earlier this week
Mohan Babu is one of the most versatile actors that Telugu cinema has ever produced. He began his career as an assistant director in the industry, worked under various stalwarts before he was introduced as an actor by Dasari Narayana Rao with Swargam Narakam. He went onto act in over 500 films across multiple languages later and is a successful producer too.
All three children of Mohan Babu - Vishnu Manchu, Manoj Manchu and Lakshmi Manchu - have proved their worth at various capacities as well. While Manoj Manchu is an actor, Lakshmi Manchu and Vishnu Manchu have followed their father’s footsteps and produced films too. The latest we hear is that Mohan Babu and his son Vishnu Manchu are coming together to produce a massive film.
The Peda Rayudu actor confirmed the news as part of his visit to Tirumala on Thursday. He spoke highly of the TTD management, claiming he had one of the best darshans in a long time. While expressing happiness about students passing out of his academic institutions, he mentioned about a Rs 100 crore project that he plans to make with his son Vishnu Manchu.
“I’m very happy about the progress of my students in my university. I and Vishnu will be producing a huge film soon; this may not be the right time to talk about it elaborately,” he said. He has thrown enough hints that the film may be about the education system in the brief conversation. In a recent interview on his birthday, the Assembly Rowdy actor said he has written a story for a film and is the verge of finalising the director for the same.
Is Mohan Babu talking about the same film? The suspense would be over soon. Vishnu Manchu, while producing his father’s film Son of India, also headlined the rural comedy Ginna recently. Mohan Babu’s recent screen appearance was for Samantha’s epic drama Shaakuntalam, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
