Fatima Sana Shaikh has proved her me ttle ever since her debut film, Dangal. She has never failed to impress the audience with her performance, be it as a wrestler in Aamir Khan's film or any other. She has also ensured to do different characters to showcase her versatility and she does so, with Modern Love Mumbai as well. The Amazon Prime Video anthology was released recently and it has left the audience stunned yet again. Fatima plays the role of Laali in the episode, Raat Rani, in the series.

The actress, who played the character of Laali, very effortlessly exhibited the multiple emotions of self-love and is collecting all the love from the audience which is well reflected in the kind of comments netizens are showering on their social media. Fans have been singing praises of the actor. One said, "A few thoughts on #ModernLoveOnPrime :1. Fatima Sana Shaikh steals the show. 2. I am craving dimsums and stir fried noodles at midnight (oh noe, pliz help) 3. Why can't they show two men kissing on screen, or just direct it better?"

One of the fans wrote that her performance was simply brilliant and Fatima just nailed it, while another fan wrote that the actress stole the show with her performance. Directed by Shonali Bose , Raat Rani also features Bhupendra Jadawat and Dilip Prabhavalkar. It is about a woman who finds her identity after being abandoned by her husband. The short on self-love is said to be probably the best of six episodes in the anthology series. A part of OTTplay review reads, " Fatima's performance makes the film more palpable and makes you wish it just didn't end at all."

Earlier, Shonali Bose had spoken about Fatima's performance and had compared her with Anne Hathaway.

Meanwhile, Modern Love Mumbai is the Indian adaptation of the popular American web show Modern Love, which is based on The New York Times column of the same name. It also stars Tanuja, Pratik Gandhi and Ranveer Brar, Bhupendra Jadawat, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Sarika, Danesh Razvi, Ahsaas Channa, Tanvi Azmi, Masaba Gupta, Ritwik Bhowmik, Prateik Babbar, Aadar Malik, Dolly Singh, Chitrangda Singh and Arshad Warsi in the six episodes. The Indian adaptations of the show also include Modern Love Chennai (Tamil) and Modern Love Hyderabad (Telugu).
