The film Mitthye Premer Gaan, starring Anirban Bhattacharya, Isha Saha, and Arjun Chakraborty, was released on 10 February. Soumya Mukherjee plays an important character in the film. His character, Dev, is Anirban’s best friend. He recently came to the promotion of the film on Fever FM and made some startling comments.
Soumya faced several questions in the rapid-fire round. What works best to soothe an angry girlfriend – fake love or music? Soumya opted for fake love. What would he choose – carrying out a romantic relationship by telling lies or breaking up by telling the truth? Soumya answered, “Perhaps many will be happy with the first option. But I tell lies. If I can have a good phase for the long term by telling lies, then why not?” Which song did he sing for his girlfriend? Soumya said, “I am Shahrukh's fan. There are lots of songs from his movies. Once I was on the verge of a breakup. Then I made her cry by singing Kal Ho Na Ho. Both of us were crying. I sang many of Shahrukh's film songs for my love.” The last question was whether one can forget their romantic pain by singing. Soumya said, “I don't think so. It may happen by listening to songs.”

Mitthye Premer Gan is the first film of Paroma Neotia as the director. It is a musical journey. Previously, Anirban Bhattacharya came for the promotion and was asked the same question--did he ever sing a fake love song for someone? Anirban answered, “I never faked anything. Whenever I did something, I did it honestly.” Did you ever try to influence someone by singing? “Yes, there were many of them. If I can something, why not try it? I left no stone unturned. I sang Bengali songs, Kabir Suman's songs, and even Suraj Huya Madhyam,” said the actor.
