The makers of the ZEE5 show Mithya starring Huma Qureshi and Bhagyashree's daughter Avantika Dassani have released the first look poster for the show. The poster was released through social media.

In a Twitter post on their official handle, ZEE5 wrote, “Things are not always what they seem. Watch the story of Juhi and Rhea to decide what’s true and what's not”. The streamer also shared that the show is releasing again.

The poster features both Qureshi and Dassani, with the latter making her big entry into the entertainment industry with the show. The poster piques the interest of the fans, by having an aura of suspense around it. The poster is fit for a psychological thriller-drama and the two actors look to have played strong characters in the show.

Produced by Applause Entertainment and presented by ZEE5, the show also stars Parambrata Chatterjee, Rajit Kapur and Samir Soni.

Helmed by Rohan Sippy, Mithya is an original adaptation of the 2019 British series Cheat. Starring Katherine Kelly and Molly Windsor, the series centered around the complicated relationship between a professor and her student.

Talking about the show, Dassani said in a press release, “It has been an absolute thrill to take on a challenging character and intriguing story such as this, for my very first endeavour. I’m also immensely grateful to have worked with an incredibly talented and supportive cast and crew,”.

Abhimanyu Dassani, Bhagyasree’s son, had made his acting debut earlier with the internationally acclaimed Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota in 2018. The film, directed by Vasan Bala, premiered in the Midnight Madness section of the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival.
