Mission Impossible 7: Tom Cruise flies off a cliff on a motorcycle, pulls off one of his most deadliest stunts

Time and time again, Tom Cruise has blown our minds with insane stunts, all of which he performs himself for his movies. From holding his breath underwater for six minutes to hanging off the towering Burj Khalifa, the actor has always defied the odds. He is also known for doing one massive stunt in each movie in the fan-favourite franchise, Mission Impossible, and the one in the seventh film sees the most dangerous one yet.

The makers of the seventh Mission Impossible movie released its trailer yesterday, and fans have had their minds blown yet again. Towards the end of the trailer, we see Tom Cruise run a motorbike off a tall cliff at full speed, and we see him plummet to the bottom.

Last year, videos surfaced from the filming of the stunt, where we saw Cruise jump off a ramp set at the edge of a cliff, before opening a parachute mid-air. This is the clip we saw at the end of the trailer, but not in its entirety, as we do not see him deploy the parachute. But without doubt, this is one of the most breathtaking and dangerous stunt sequence the actor has ever pulled off for his movies.

The beloved actor has previously scaled the Burf Khalifa from the outside in Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol, dangled off an aircraft that is taking off in Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, and has done a High Altitude Low Opening (HALO) jump in Mission Impossible Fallout.

The trailer of the new movie also shows us glimpses off Cruise’s Ethan Hunt in a confrontation with another man on top of a moving train. Mission Impossible fans will realise that this is a throwback to the stunt scene from the first Mission Impossible movie.

With Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby and Frederick Schmidt reprising their roles in the seventh instalment, the highly-anticipated action spectacle will hit theatres in 2023.
