Czech Republic's Krystyna Pyszkova on Saturday won the coveted Miss World 2024 title at a grand and glitzy event in Mumbai.

In a glittering ceremony held in Mumbai's Jio World Convention Centre, Krystyna Pyszková from the Czech Republic emerged victorious as Miss World 2024. India's Sini Shetty showcased her brilliance by making it to the top 8. Yasmina Zaytoun from Lebanon was honoured as the first runner-up. The outgoing Miss World, Karolina Bielawska of Poland, graced the stage to pass on the crown to her successor in a captivating finale.

Statement by Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic

After winning the beauty pageant contest in Mumbai, Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic thanked those who supported her. She further emphasized the importance of the platform which gives her a chance to speak up for the welfare of people globally.

“Miss World is something I was working so hard on and my 'beauty of a purpose' project is my lifelong mission. I know that the Miss World platform and the ability it gives us to speak up for the causes that we think are important. I am sure I will be able to bring awareness to such important things like quality education for children,” Krystyna Pyszková said while addressing the press a while ago.

About Krystyna Pyszková

Krystyna Pyszková is the second Miss World from the Czech Republic, following Tatana Kucharova's win in 2006. Apart from being a model, she is a multifaceted individual. Currently in her twenties, she is pursuing a dual degree in law and business. She has also established the Krystyna Pyszko Foundation. Pyszková is fluent in multiple languages, including English, Polish, Slovak, and German. According to the Miss World website, her focus is on promoting sustainable development through education. She has notably started an English school in Tanzania for underprivileged children, where she has also volunteered. Beyond her humanitarian work, Pyszková enjoys playing the flute and the violin.

What was special about the event?

Numerous Indian celebrities including Neha Dhupia, Karan Johar, Kriti Sanon, and Pooja Hegde graced the event.

From the world of business, founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani adorned a Banarasi jangla saree for the event.

Not only them but Bigg Boss Season 17 winner Munawar Faruqui and Bigg Boss Season 17 second runner-up Mannara Chopra were also in attendance.
