Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty: Anushka, Naveen Polishetty’s film postponed, new date to be confirmed soon

The light-hearted romance, directed by P Mahesh Babu, was to hit screens on August 4 as per schedule

Anushka’s comeback film in Telugu, Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, is keenly awaited among audiences for its unconventional premise and the unique on-screen pair. Naveen Polishetty is paired opposite the Bhaagmathie actress in the light-hearted entertainer helmed by Mahesh Babu P. The film is bankrolled by Vamsi and Pramod under UV Creations.

Three songs from the film are out already - Lady Luck, No No No, Hathavidi and all of them have garnered impressive numbers on Youtube and streaming platforms. Radhan is composing the music for the same. As per plan, Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty was to release on August 4, exactly a week before the Independence Day weekend.

However, reports suggest the film won’t arrive on the earlier announced date. While the reason behind the delay is unknown, it has come to our notice that the post-production formalities of the entertainer were more or less completed. With August packed with a flurry of releases, the film is likely to arrive in September or October. An official confirmation about the date is awaited.

The film revolves around a middle-aged woman, a chef who’s reluctant about marriage and falls in love with a non-happening standup comedian. What are the roadblocks they face in taking their relationship forward? Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty promises to be an entertaining, feel-good cocktail of romance, humour, a light-weight conflict and peppy music.

Veteran technician Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor of the film for which Nirav Shah cranked the camera. Brinda Master choreographed the dance sequences while Rajeevan is the production designer. Aditya Music acquired the audio rights of the album. The film will simultaneously release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
