Season 3 of Mirzapur is sure to deliver even more exciting surprises with its passionate performances and riveting plot. Power struggles and vengeance will supposedly take the stage in the next season. Here's a summary of the previous seasons of Mirzapur as the release date of season 3 draws near.
Season 1 of Mirzapur features Kaleen Bhaiya's (Pankaj Tripathi's) hiring of Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal) and Bablu Pandit (Vikrant Massey) to oversee his regional gun business. But this choice has upset Munna Bhaiya (Divyenndu), who is the son of Kaleen Bhaiya. Sweety Gupta (Shriya Pilgaonkar), Munna's one-sided romantic interest, has feelings for Guddu Pandit, which only serve to fuel Munna's animosity against Guddu.
A shocking and brutal scene ends the season. Dimpy (Harshita Gaur), Guddu, Golu (Shweta Tripathi Sharma), Sweety, and Bablu attend a wedding. Meanwhile, Munna is so enraged that she sets out to find Guddu and Bablu in order to murder them. Munna shows up at the wedding—which is actually Lala's daughter's wedding—and proceeds to take over the festivities. The wedding takes a tragic turn as Munna unexpectedly starts firing, initially hitting Guddu Pandit. Munna now forces people to emerge from their hiding places.
Munna brutally murders Sweety, who is pregnant, and Bablu in a disturbing scene. His attempt to assassinate Guddu Pandit causes mayhem, which Golu and Guddu take advantage of to flee. In the meantime, Kaleen Bhaiya continues his rule of terror by killing a policeman. The highly anticipated sequel will pick up right where this thrilling and suspenseful finale left off.
Season 2 of Mirzapur dives into darker and bloodier territory, in contrast to the slow start of Season 1. Season 2 picks up right where season 1 left off, with Munna in the hospital, recuperating from the cliffhanger finale.
Guddu recovers from his wounds, and the escaping Golu and Guddu abduct a doctor. Golu begins honing her shooting skills, consumed by vengeance and fury. Also, Munna falls for Madhuri (Isha Talwar), daughter of the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, and manipulates Sharad Shukla (Anjum Sharma) into betraying Kaleen Bhaiya.
Munna plots to assassinate his father, Kaleen Bhaiya, at the end of Mirzapur Season 2. Guddu and Golu plan to murder Munna and Kaleen Bhaiya while they are under protection. Guddu, Golu, and their gang attack Munna and Kaleen Bhaiya in a final confrontation. As the fierce fighting continues, Guddu Pandit takes revenge for his brother Bablu's death by killing Munna, and Kaleen Bhaiya sustains serious injuries. Sharad quickly rescues the wounded Kaleen Bhaiya.
After Munna murders Maqbool's (Shaji Chaudhary) relatives, Kaleen's faithful friend Maqbool exacts vengeance on Kaleen's father. Kaleen Bhaiya loses control of Mirzapur when Beena (Rasika Dugal) unexpectedly joins Maqbool and requests the assassination of Kaleen's father. Season 2 concludes on a cliffhanger, paving the way for Season 3.
Season 3 of Mirzapur will be available to stream on Prime Video on July 5 at 12:00 AM. The Tripathis' rule over Purvanchal is ending, according to the original platform summary. Along with their rivals, Guddu and Golu, a new pretender has entered the race for the throne. Will external forces destroy the seat of power, or will they overcome the obstacles and emerge as unchallenged rulers?
