In a chat, Ankush said, “There are some people who come to politics with honest intentions. There are some more who understand absolutely nothing. Just nothing. They come to politics for an alternative career. They Tweet because the party orders so, and know nothing, understand nothing. After tweeting, they apologize miserably to the person about whom they Tweeted. I saw these, saw them from proximity. I told many of them that they were not yet fully established in the original industry, the acting industry, from where they emerged. How could they choose another profession so soon? It is not that there is less money in our profession. I don’t understand why they do this.”

In an interview with Anandabazar, Ankush did not want to comment about Nusrat and expressed displeasure. But he gave rave reviews to Dev. He said, “Dev has a heart of a lion. I like listening to him. I want to believe him. He is not someone who will gain votes by maligning others.”

About Kanchan Mullick, Ankush said, “Many people can say many things and can have different opinions. But I saw Kanchan da from close up and hence I know. He is honest. Whatever he earned is from acting. He came to politics with an honest intention.” He also praised his friend Mimi.
