Asif Ali is reuniting with director Jeethu Joseph for the upcoming film Mirage, which is touted to be a thriller. Aparna Balamurali is set to play the female lead in the film.
Jeethu Joseph, the celebrated filmmaker has an exciting line-up of projects in the pipeline. As reported earlier, the Neru director is reuniting with popular actor Asif Ali after Kooman, for an upcoming thriller. The project, which has been titled Mirage, had its official launch today with the release of its motion poster. Asif Ali is set to team up with his Kishkindha Kaandam co-star Aparna Balamurali, for the highly anticipated project.
Recently, the cast and crew members of Mirage took to their official social media handles and announced the upcoming project, dropping an interesting motion poster. “Excited to reunite with Jeethu Joseph after Kooman for a brand-new cinematic journey! Can’t wait to share this with you all! Stay tuned for more,” wrote leading man Asif Ali in his Instagram post. The motion poster, which unfolds in the backdrop of an unclear road, reads: “Mirage - Fades as you get closer.”
From the intense motion poster, it is safe to assume that Jeethu Joseph, who is well-known for his expertise in crafting edge-of-the-seat thrillers, is all set to bring yet another memorable cinematic experience to the big screens. The filming of Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali’s film is expected to begin on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. The makers are yet to lock the release date of the film, which is expected to be shot in multiple schedules over the first half of 2025
The highly anticipated project is scripted by director Jeethu Joseph and Bollywood writer Srinivas Abrol. Aparna R. Tarakad has penned the film’s story. Satheesh Kurup, who has previously associated with Jeethu Joseph for Drishyam 2, 12th Man, Kooman, and Neru, has joined the team as the director of photography. Vishnu Shyam composes the songs and the original score. VS Vinayak handles the editing, and Prashanth Madhav handles the production design. Mirage is jointly produced by E4 Experiments, Naad Sstudios, and Seven One Seven Productions.
