Minnal Murali: Netflix hosts world premiere of Tovino Thomas’ superhero film in Mumbai

Minnal Murali had its world premiere in Mumbai yesterday in association with the Jio Mami Mumbai Film Festival

Minnal Murali is one of the most anticipated Malayalam movies of the year and is close to its global release on Netflix. The superhero movie starring Tovino Thomas had a world premiere screening in Mumbai yesterday.

The world premiere was held in Mumbai in association with the Jio Mami Mumbai Film Festival. Tovino Thomas, Guru Somasundaram, Vasisht, Basil Joseph, the director and producers Sophia Paul, Kevin Paul and Cedin Paul along with the writers Arun AR and Justin Mathew were present at the event.

Pratiksha Rao, Director, Films and Licensing, Netflix India and Smriti Kiran, Artistic Director, Jio Mami Mumbai Film Festival were also present with the cast and crew of the movie.

Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, Abhimanyu Dassani, Malvaika Mohan, Bejoy Nambiar, Arati Kadav, Anjali Menon and Wamiqa Gabbi were other celebrities who attended the screening in Mumbai.

Minnal Murali is a superhero movie that follows an ordinary man, who gets superhuman abilities after he is struck by lightning. While Tovino Thomas plays the lead in the movie, it also stars Guru Somasundaram, Harisree Ashokan, and Aju Varghese among others.

Backed by Weekend Blockbusters and helmed by Basil Joseph, the movie is set to premiere in over 200 countries through Netflix on December 24. Minnal Murali will be released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and English.
