Mimi Chakraborty cooks up a storm in Bangladesh

In Toofan, She has paired up with Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan.

Actress Mimi Chakraborty is all set to work in a mega Indi-Bangladesh production, Toofan. She has paired up with Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan. Recently, the actress just came down from the car on the runway of Dhaka Airport. Suddenly there was a storm with darkness all over. The speedy storm shook Mimi’s car. Mimi managed to run to the plane and go inside. She shared the video on Instagram which worried her fans. She went to Bangladesh for the promotion of her film Toofan, and faced a real Toofan! She wrote in the caption ‘Toofan thank you Bangladesh’. 

Toofan was produced by Alpha-i and Chorki from Bangladesh and SVF from Kolkata. Raihan Rafi, who made the film Surongo, is the film’s director. Mimi and Shakib are paired in the film. The popular Bangladeshi actress Masuma Rahman Nabila is also in the film. 

There are several surprises in the film. When the trailer came out, many people criticized it as ‘poor man’s Animal.’ Some of them compared it with the South Indian blockbuster KGF. Shakib Khan’s look in the teaser was similar to that of Ranbir Kapoor in Animal, with hair flowing on the shoulder and similar dresses. People also found similarities between the action sequences in the teaser with those in Animal. However, glimpses of the song ‘Ura Dhura’ where Mimi and Shakib were seen, were liked by them.
