The controversial film Miller's Girl which debuted earlier this year, is now available on OTT in India, albeit not for all subscribers. Jade Halley Bartlett penned and directed the erotic thriller Miller's Girl. Martin Freeman and Jenna Ortega play a teacher and a student, respectively, who get into a tangled web following a creative writing project. The film received mixed reviews upon its release.

In Miller's Girl when Jenna Ortega's teacher, Martin Freeman, gives her a project to complete, the two of them become entangled in an ever-deepening web of creativity. In the midst of a complicated web of relationships, both mentor and student must face their shadow sides while fighting for independence and the values they hold dear.
The cast also includes Bashir Salahuddin, Gideon Adlon, and Dagmara Domińczyk. The producers include Mary-Margaret Kunze, James Weaver, Josh Fagen, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg, while Freeman also served as an executive producer.
Controversial reception
Not because of the film's quality, but because of the sex scene between Ortega and Freeman's characters, it has garnered some of the harshest reviews of their careers. Their age difference is a major plot point in the movie, but some are still furious about it.
In August 2023, Freeman spoke to Collider about the film, saying that when he read the script, he was like, "OK, a gutsy script." He went on to say that the script is uncomfortable and has certain things that aren't black and white. There have been ongoing discussions about the script, particularly in the past few years. It enters a universe where such discussions are taking place and, somewhat out of left field, asks, "Yes, what about this?" and calls it interesting.
