Comedian and actor Mike Batayeh, best known for the TV series Breaking Bad, died of a heart attack on June 1, 2023. News portal TMZ confirmed the news on Friday evening. The news portal said that the star died while sleeping at his home in Michigan, USA. His sister Diane believes that his death was very sudden, as he didn't have a history of heart issues.

A family statement was also released about his death. TMZ had exclusive access to it. It read, "He will be greatly missed by those who loved him and his great ability to bring laughter and joy to so many."

Since childhood, Mike knew that he was a creative being. Soon, he decided to make money instead of just being a creative entity and started his career in acting. As years passed by, Mike Batayeh made himself a valuable asset in the Hollywood film industry.

As an actor, he featured on several television shows including notable appearances on Everybody Loves Raymond The Sheild, Sleeper Cell, Touch and Breaking Bad. He has co-starred in films including, American Dreams, Gas, American East, Don't Mess With The Zohan and his leading role in Detroit Unleaded.

Soon after the news of Mike’s death was confirmed, several celebrities from Hollywood were left saddened.

Hollywood director and Mike’s friend Rola Nashef wrote on Facebook, “A devastating loss of a huge life - Mike Batayeh, you were everybody's friend. And I mean everybody. There isn't a person that I introduced you to or a waitress that took our order whom you didn't make laugh, think, inspire, and root for.”

Yorg Kerasiotis, Batayeh's costar on Detroit Unleaded, also wrote on his social media handles, “Please rest in peace". Mike’s costar even attached a picture of the late actor.
