Athulyaa Ravi plays the female lead in the film written and directed by Ramesh Kaduri
Police roles are time and again proving to be significant in the careers of actors who’re taking the mass entertainer route to reach out to audiences. While Kiran Abbavaram started his career with a sensitive romance like Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru, with every other film, he has tried to pander to the galleries. In a cop avatar for his next release, Meter, Kiran promises yet another engaging mass fate.
The trailer of Meter was launched today. The film, which has all the commercial ingredients in the right mix, deals with a familiar story - a massy, funny cop, who goes out all to end corruption within the system and confronts a politician. He has a romantic interest too and is desperate to win her attention at every given opportunity. What are the roadblocks for the cop in his personal life and at work?

Written and directed by Ramesh Kaduri, Meter makes no bones about being a mindless, commercial film. With catchy songs, a vibrant romance thread, good dialogues, action, emotion and drama, the trailer gives every reason for a film buff to await its release on April 7. Athulyaa Ravi is the leading lady while Sapthagiri, Posani Krishna Murali, Prudhvi Raj and Vinay Varma essay crucial roles too.
Sai Kartheek’s flashy music score and Venkat C Dilip’s cinematography make a good impact too. Chiranjeevi (Cherry) and Hemalatha Pedamallu are producing the film under two leading banners, Clap Entertainment and Mythri Movie Makers. They’d earlier also collaborated for Lavanya Tripathi’s Happy Birthday. The film’s teaser and its songs opened to positive responses as well.
Ramesh Kaduri, Surya have written the dialogues while JV is the art director. Meter is Kiran Abbavaram’s second release this year after Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha, that stormed theatres in February. The marks Athulyaa’s Telugu debut. The film is arriving within a week’s time after Dasara and will clash with Ravi Teja’s actioner Ravanasura.
