Mental Manadhil: GV Prakash plays the lead role, as well as score the music and produce the film
We had earlier reported that after a gap of 13 years Selvaraghavan and GV Prakash will be joining forces for a Tamil film. The duo on Friday announced the project on Friday, marking their third collaboration after Aayirathil Oruvan and Mayakkam Enna. Titled Mental Manadhil, the film will have GV Prakash himself play the lead role, as well as backing the film.
Selvaraghavan may have worked with GV Prakash, the composer, in Mayakkam Enna and Aayirathil Oruvan. Now, the director-actor is all set to work with the latter as actor.
Titled Mental Manadhil, the first look poster of the film was released on Friday. In GV Prakash's words, Mental Manadhil will be a "musical love journey".
The technical crew consists of Arun Radhakrishnan cranking the camera and R. K. Vijaimurugan as art director. Balaji oversees editing, with R.K. Vijay Murugan as the art director. Dinesh Guna serves as executive producer. The film stars Madhuri Jain in the lead female role and is supported by a talented ensemble cast. G.V. Prakash Kumar will be backing the film under the banner Parallel Universe Production House, and will also score the music.
Selvaraghavan and GV Prakash have previously collaborated in films Mayakkam Enna and Aayirathil Oruvan, which are available on Aha Tamil, SunNXT, and OTTplay Premium apps.

While Mayakkam Enna is a psychological romantic drama featuring Dhanush, Richa Gangopadhyay, and others, Aayirathil Oruvan is an adventure-action drama with actors Karthi, Reema Sen, and Andrea Jeremiah. Mayakkam Enna is about a wildlife photographer who faces a major setback, with his wife by his side. Meanwhile, Aayirathil Oruvan is about a group of archaeologists going in search of the lost Chola dynasty. Even as both films were not declared as box office successes, the albums were greatly appreciated.
