Karthi and Arvind Swami play the lead roles in the movie, which is bankrolled by Suriya and Jyotika under their home banner 2D Entertainment. As expected, Meiyazhagan has been receiving excellent reviews from both the audiences and critics after its initial shows. Interestingly, the cinephiles are now suggesting that Meiyazhagan is clearly the ‘feel-good film of the year’, from the Tamil film industry. Meiyazhagan: Plot, cast, and crew

Meiyazhagan revolves around the life of Arun, a middle-aged man who fears to visit his hometown in Tanjavur, as he is unable to let go of the past. However, he is forced to return to Tanjavur for the wedding of a family member, where he meets a relative, who has a childlike personality and innocense. Even though the duo gels well, Arun is still unable to recollect who he is. Aravind Swami appears as Arun in the movie, which stars Karthi in the role of his relative.

Meiyazhagan features Raj Kiran, Sri Divya, Swati Konde, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, Sriranjini, Ilavarasu, Saran Shakthi, Rajkumar, and others in the pivotal roles. Govind Vasantha composed the songs and original score for the film. Mahendiran Jayaraju is the director of photography. R Govindraj handles the editing. The C Prem Kumar directorial is bankrolled by Jyotika and Suriya, under the banner 2D Entertainments.
