Karthi and Arvind Swamy starred in the recently released Tamil film Meiyazhagan. The film is currently running in theatres since its release on September 23. The film is directed by Prem Kumar in his sophomore directorial debut. Now, as per the latest buzz, the film will soon be available for streaming on a leader platform.

We had earlier reported that Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Meiyazhagan. The film stars Karthi and Arvind Swamy in the lead roles. Directed by Prem Kumar, the film is bankrolled by Suriya and Jyothika under the banner 2D Entertainment. Meiyazhagan is an emotional drama that revolves around two men who are related to each other and the events that unfold between them over the night.

As per the latest reports, Meiyazhagan is expected to release on Netflix on October 25. However, an official announcement on the same is yet to be made by the streaming platform.

Meiyazhagan also stars Sri Divya, Rajkiran, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, Saran and others. The technical crew of the film consists of Mahendran Jayaraju cranking the camera and Govind Vasantha scoring the music. Actor Kamal Haasan has also lent his voice to one of the tracks in the film. R Govindaraj has handled the edits.

Meiyazhagan opened to a positive response upon its release. The film had a runtime of nearly three hours. However, after a few days since the release, the makers trimmed Meiyazhagan by 18 minutes, taking into consideration the audience response.

Meanwhile, if you would like to revisit Prem Kumar’s 96, you can stream it on Aha Tamil and OTTplay Premium. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha in the lead roles. The romantic drama also centers on two individuals, former lovers, and the conversations that take place over one night.
