Meghana Raj Sarja remembers late husband Chiranjeevi Sarja on his death anniversary: 'My yesterday, today and forever!'
It was exactly three years ago that the Kannada film audience woke up to the tragic news of Chiranjeevi Sarja's death. The actor, who was only 39 years old at the time, had starred in a number of films as a leading man and was popular among his fans for his roles in action movies.
While he strived hard to respect the image that his maternal uncle Arjun Sarja boasted of an 'Action King', Chiranjeevi also ensured that he dabbled in all kinds of roles. Some of his best-known acting credits are Varadhanayaka (2013), Chandralekha (2014), Aatagara (2015) and the horror film Aake (2017)
On June 7, 2020, Chiranjeevi Sarja is said to have complained of breathlessness and convulsions and was later taken to a private hospital in Bengaluru in an unresponsive state. The doctors declared him dead around 3.48 pm the same day, citing cardiac arrest as the cause.
While the actor's untimely and tragic passing cast a vast shadow of grief on the people of Karnataka, his fans and other well-wishers were incredibly upset to know that he was expecting his first child with his wife Meghana Raj Sarja only a couple of months later.
Meghana Raj Sarja and Chiranjeevi Sarja got married in April 2018 and their son Raayan Raj Sarja was born on 22 October 2020.
Meghana Raj, who went on a sabbatical of sorts following the death of her husband, has often spoken about the impact it has had on her. Her social media feed is a testament to how much she still feels his absence and she would share a similar heartwarming post on Chiranjeevi Sarja's third death anniversary.
"My yesterday, today and forever!" she wrote alongside a lovely picture that includes the two of them. Fans and followers, too, joined in to express how much they miss the actor.
In other positive developments, Meghana Raj Sarja announced her return to the world of cinema and will soon be seen in Vishal Atreya's Tatsama Tadbhava. The mystery thriller will release in both Kannada and Malayalam with Meghana and Chiranjeevi's close friend Pannaga Bharana producing the film along with Spurthi Anil and Chetan Nanjumdaya.
