Max, which is Kiccha Sudeep’s first film since 2022’s Vikrant Rona, does not have a release date yet, but the song launch marks the start of promotions
Fans of Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep have been waiting with bated breath for word on when his next film, Max, will be in theatres. There have been rumours around August 15 and September 6, one of which is bygone and the other not a possibility, as well as September 27, which is also highly unlikely, considering there is a big-ticket pan-India release already attached to the date (Devara).
The buzz is that Sudeep will look at a late October or early November outing for Max, so that he can promote his film on Bigg Boss Kannada Season 11. This is only fair, considering that other films get to come on the show. The hope was that the team of Max would announce the release date on the actor’s birthday next week, September 2, but instead, they’ve chosen to kickstart promotions with a song launch.
Max teaser: Kiccha Sudeep’s ‘explosive’ film to get pan-India release
Maximum Mass, the first single from Max, will be out on the actor’s big day at 6.56 am. Going by the promo image, this is the song that is featured at the end of the film’s teaser, which had audiences going ga-ga over Sudeep’s dance and swag. Should the makers decide to release a full video or even fleeting glimpses from the actual footage, it will send fans into a frenzy.
Max, directed by Vijay Kathikeya and produced by Kalaipulli S Thanu, has Sudeep back in cop mode as Arjun Mahakshay. A plot synopsis found on a ticket aggregator site was said to have similarities to Ravi Teja’s Krack. The film also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Samyukta Hornad, Sukrutha Wagle, Sunil, Pramod Shetty, P Ravi Shankar, among others. The film’s music is by B Ajaneesh Loknath, who’d worked on the actor’s earlier Vikrant Rona as well.

Thereafter, he’s set to return to the director’s chair with King Kichcha for KRG Studios. It remains to be seen how many other announcements will be made on September 2.
