Matthew McConaughey, who played Dallas, a former stripper turned strip club owner, in 2012's Magic Mike says he's open to returning to the third instalment.

Though the actor did not make an appearance in Magic Mike XXL he expressed interest to be a part of Magic Mike’s Last Dance.

"Channing Tatum, call me, bro! I haven’t heard from ya!," McConaughey said, according to Variety.

However, he did say he'd have to read the script first before reprising his role as Dallas. "It was a helluva lot of fun doing the first one," added the actor.

In November last year, Tatum confirmed Magic Mike’s Last Dance with Soderbergh directing and Reid Carolin writing the script for the sequel. Tatum will once again play Mike Lane.

Gregory Jacobs, who directed the 2015 sequel, will produce along with Carolin, Nick Wechsler and Peter Kiernan. The film will premiere on HBO Max.
