After his successful debut with the Malayalam film Helen, the director has teamed up with Jahnvi Kapoor for the Bollywood remake of the same, titled Mili.

Director Mathukutty Xavier has certainly taken Malayalam cinema to places with the Anna Ben starrer Helen. He has bagged the national Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Feature for the same. The talented filmmaker has also teamed up with Jahnvi Kapoor for the Bollywood remake of Helen, titled Mili. In a recent Instagram questionnaire, Xavier spilt beans about his upcoming projects after Mili.
When he was asked about his new projects, Xavier responded that he had planned something co-written with writer Alfred Kurian Joseph. He also added that the movie will be the directorial debut of the writer, who has previously scripted Helen. He also assured his fans that he will be making an official announcement soon.
The director also revealed that the cinematography of his project will be handled by Jaison Jacob John. The latter is popular after the bilingual movie Kadaseela Biriyani helmed by Nishanth Kalidindi.
When asked about Mili Xavier responded that the best part of the movie was working with Jahnvi Kapoor. The actress had also penned a beautiful note to the team during the shoot wrap, thanking everyone in the team.
Mili is written by Ritesh Shah, who is popular in Bollywood for movies like Force, Airlift, Pink, D-Day and more. The survival thriller will also feature Sunny Kaushal as the male lead, while it is produced by Boney Kapoor.

Meanwhile, the Malayalam original had actor Anna Ben essaying the eponymous role. The movie was co-written by Alfred Kurian Joseph, Noble Babu Thomas, and Mathukutty Xavier. The movie revolves around the titular character, Helen, and the events that occur after she fails to return home after work one night.
