Amazon Studios has released the trailer of its genre-bender Master, written and directed by Mariama Diallo and it looks exciting and engaging, leaving the horror film fans to bounce off the walls. Diallo's debut film features Regina Hall, Zoe Renee, Talia Ryder, Talia Balsam, and Amber Gray.

The film tells the story of three women who strive to find their place at a prestigious New England university whose frosty elitism may disguise something more sinister. The trailer shares glimpses of this heritage college and explores what many believe are myths. Professor Gail Bishop (Regina Hall) is also heard telling her students that it is natural to hear such horror stories when you get admitted to an old college. Gail becomes the first black person to be promoted to “Master” of a residence hall. Determined to breathe a new life into a centuries-old tradition, Gail soon finds herself trapped in the trials and tribulations of Jasmine Moore (Zoe Renee), an energetic and optimistic Black freshman. Her life at Ancaster takes a turn when she’s assigned a dorm room that is rumoured to be haunted. Things get worse when she clashes in the classroom with Liv Beckman (Amber Gray), a professor who is undergoing her tenure review. As Gail tries to fulfill the duties bestowed on her, the facade of Ancaster starts developing cracks. She is then confronted with the horrifying prospect of what lies beneath, as she tries to find not if the school is haunted, but by whom.

The film will be released in limited theatres and globally on Prime Video on March 18.
