BRO is Sai Tej's latest release. His superstar uncle, Pawan Kalyan will be seen in a cameo in this film
Bro is one of the most awaited films in Telugu as Sai Dharam Tej has teamed up with his superstar uncle Pawan Kalyan for the first time in his career. The social drama is all set to release on the 28th of July and the makers have speeded up the promotions. The film is the official remake of the Tamil hit Vinodhaya Sitham and is directed by Samuthirkani.
Thaman composed the music and the songs have received a dull response for the film. There is a good buzz for the film and seeing this, the makers sold the rights close to Rs 100 crores. There is a talk in the trade circles that the pre-release business has been set way too much higher and the film might not collect Rs 90 crores which is a bare minimum for the film to be in the safe zone.
Pawan Kalyan is only playing a cameo in BRO but the entire film is being sold on his name. The openings will be huge but for the film to be in a safe zone, the content should be solid. In areas like Nizam, the rights have been purchased at Rs 32 crores which is huge. The film needs to start with a blockbuster talk to make the said money in Nizam.
The same happened for Prabhas Adipurush as the Nizam rights were sold for Rs 70 crores. But as the film opened to bad talk, the distributors ended in big losses. So, the trade has mixed opinions about BRO thanks to Pawan's small role. But the makers are not at all tense and are confident that the film will take a solid start at the box office.
Sai Dharam Tej plays the main lead in this film and is quite excited as he has shared the screen space with Uncle Pawan Kalyan for the first time in his career. People Media Factory, one of the major production houses in Telugu cinema, that backed hits like Karthikeya 2 and Dhamaka has collaborated with ZEE Studios for BRO.
Bro is written and directed by Samuthirakani. Trivikram pens the screenplay and dialogues. Ketika Sharma, Priya Prakash Varrier, Samuthirakani, Rohini, Rajeswari Nair, Tanikella Bharani, Vennela Kishore, Subbaraju, and Prudhvi Raj play other important roles in Bro.
