Even though Marvel is currently going through a rough patch with the huge fall of Ms. Marvel this year, nothing can stop the company! Just a month ago, Marvel Studio dropped the much-awaited trailer of its first animated series – What If…? Season 2. Now on December 14, they unveiled the release date.
What If...? story
What If...? invites you on a mind-bending journey through the Marvel multiverse, where familiar MCU heroes face off against unexpected twists of fate. Guided by the watchful gaze of the Watcher, every episode explores a different reality, where a single choice can reshape the destiny of the cosmos. The first Season was released in 2021.
What If...? Season 2
Previously Season 2 was scheduled to release in 2022, but due to some production issues, it's going to be released this year on Disney+ Hotstar. In the Season 2 the Watcher returns to unveil the infinite tapestry of the multiverse. Witness the rise of unseen heroes and the reimagining of iconic moments, all woven into the grand saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Prepare to be surprised, delighted, and forever changed by the secrets whispered across realities.

Apart from Jeffrey Wright as The Watcher, the Season 2 stars Hayley Atwell as Captain Carter, Josh Keaton as Captain America, Lake Bell as Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Cynthia McWilliams as Gamora, Mick Wingert as Iron Man, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Taika Waititi as Korg, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Josh Brolin as Thanos, and Kurt Russell as Ego.
What If...? release date
Marvel’s What If…? Season 2 will be released on Disney+ Hotstar just three days prior to Christmas, on December 22, 2023.
