In a recent media interview, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that Daredevil will return to screens once again. The show, available on Netflix, was cancelled by the streamer in 2018.
"If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil. Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen," Feige told CinemaBlend.
However, the executive remained mum on the exact timeline when the character would make a comeback into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Screen Rant writes that there has been conjecture about Cox returning in Spider-Man: No Way Home as Matt Murdock. However, neither Feige nor Sony Pictures have commented on this.
Daredevil follows a a blind lawyer-by-day who is a masked vigilante, protecting the streets and people of his city, by night. Whether or not the original cast will join Cox in the new journey of his character is also unknown.
Cox has previously spoken about the legacy of the show and character, and said that even if Daredevil is not revived, it had a successful three-season run with the last instalment being the best reviewed ever.
