The team of Vishal and SJ Suryah's upcoming film, Mark Antony dropped a brand new poster from the film. In the poster, Vishal is seen in a dual avatar, both in the retro look and the contemporary look. It is to be noted that Mark Antony is a film that revolves around time travel and this time through a phone. Going by the teaser of the film, it seems Vishal and SJ Suryah travel back and forth in time to take revenge on their nemesis.

Mark Antony is helmed by Adhik Ravichandran , who is known for his films, Trisha Illana Nayanthara, Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan and Bagheera. The film marks the maiden collaboration of SJ Suryah along with Vishal. Mark Antony is touted to be a gangster action film and it features an ensemble star cast which includes Sunil, Selvaraghavan, Abhinaya, Redin Kingsley and YG Mahendran. Ritu Varma plays the leading lady.

Music for the film is by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Abhinandan Ramanujam, and editing by Vijay Velukutty. Peter Hein has choreographed the action sequences, alongside Dhilip Subbarayan, Kanal Kannan, and Dinesh Subbarayan.The film is bankrolled by S Vinod Kumar.

Since Vishal's last outing Laththi didn't really leave a mark and failed to set the cash registers ringing, a lot is riding on Mark Antony. The addition of SJ Suryah as part of the star cast has only spurred the expectations.

Vishal has in his kitty, his maiden directorial venture, the long-delayed detective thriller, Thupparivalan 2. Mysskin, who directed the original and was supposed to direct the second part, walked out of the film after creative differences between Vishal and him. Hence, Vishal decided to take on the mantle of the director.

It looks like Vishal will resume work on the film after his commitments with Mark Antony and is likely to reprise his character, detective Kaniyan Poongundran.
