Mark Antony star Vishal refutes marriage rumours, requests everyone to respect celebs' private lives

The actor took to Twitter to vent his frustration, leaving fans stunned

Vishal, who is awaiting the release of his next outing, Mark Antony, took to Twitter to issue a clarification on rumours pertaining to his personal life. He is upset that many are coming up with speculation about his marriage with actress Lakshmi Menon, with whom he acted in Pandiya Naadu and Naan Sigappu Manithan.

There were similar reports a few years ago, and the actor condemned the same back then. Later, he got engaged to Anisha Reddy, but they broke up owing to reasons best known to them.

In the tweet, he mentioned that "I don’t respond to any fake news or rumors about me coz I feel it’s useless. I point blankly deny this and it’s absolutely not true and baseless (sic)." He chose to respond this time because he felt it is not right to invade and spoil a girl’s private life and malign her image.

Vishal also informed that he will make an official announcement if he intends to marry in the future. However, his fans and other movie buffs were surprised by the unexpected tweet as most of them had no clue about this rumour doing the rounds.

He was last seen in the action drama Laththi which hit the screens in December 2022. Mark Antony is going to be his first release this year. The gangster drama with time travel elements has been helmed by Adhik Ravichandran. SJ Suryah, Selvaraghavan, Sunil and Ritu Varma play notable roles in the project.

Zee5 has bagged the movie's digital rights some time ago. The movie is likely to drop on the platform in October after its theatrical release in September. The film will be released in Tamil and Telugu.
