Vishal, who is basking over the success of Mark Antony, left everyone shocked the other day when he posted a video on the corruption in the CBFC office in Mumbai. The actor said that he was asked to pay a sum of 6.5 lakh for screening and obtaining a certificate for the Hindi version of his latest movie Mark Antony.

The film, which is a huge hit in Tamil, was released on September 15. The Hindi version hit the screens yesterday in several states in north India. In his video, he requested the Prime Minister of India and other concerned officials to take action against those who indulge in such corrupt practices.

Producers Guild of India thanks I&B Ministry's timely action

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting replied to Vishal's complaint on social media this morning and informed that a senior officer has been assigned to conduct an inquiry as soon as possible. The Twitter page of the Ministry also added that the Government has zero tolerance for corruption.

The Producers Guild of India expressed happiness at the swift response from the Ministry on their Twitter page and added "We're here to support a transparent, corruption-free industry".

Mark Antony is Vishal's biggest grosser

The film helmed by Adhik Ravichandran has emerged as the biggest grosser in Vishal's career. It surpassed the collection of Irumbu Thirai which was his highest-grossing movie until recently. SJ Suryah, Selvaraghavan, Sunil and Ritu Varma play important roles in the time travel flick which was bankrolled by Vinod Kumar.

Amazon Prime bagged the movie's digital rights a while ago. Mark Antony will start streaming on the platform after a few weeks. Though the film courted controversy before release owing to a case in the Madras High Court, the verdict was in favour of its release.
