No objection in court to release the film
The Madras High Court had earlier issued a stay on the film's release after a plea by Lyca Productions for recovering a sum that Vishal owed to the production house. Vishal, today, announced on his social media handle that the film was good to release. "No objection in court to release the movie #MarkAntony, Stay vacated.#MarkAntony all set to release on Sep 15th Worldwide and 22nd in Hindi, GB #MarkAntonyFromSep15 #WorldOfMarkAntony (sic)."

The film's producer Vinod Kumar, too, wrote, on his social media handle, "The restraining stay order earlier given by the Honourable High court of Madras against “Mark Antony” is Removed. The movie is releasing on September 15th , coming Friday as per planned. Thank God (sic)."

Vishal's production house, Vishal Film Factory announced yesterday that the time travel film has been censored with U/A certificate. Mark Antony gets a solo release
With the makers of Chandramukhi 2 pulling out of the Vinayagar Chaturthi race due to technical delays, its advantage for actor Vishal. Vishal badly needs a hit after his last few films, Laththi, Veerame Vaagai Soodavum, Chakra, Action, Ayogya and Sandakozhi 2, didn't create a dent at the box office.

Cast and crew
Mark Antony stars Ritu Varma, Sunil, Selvaraghavan, Abhinaya, Kingsley and YG Mahendran. Music is by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Abhinandan Ramanujam, and editing by Vijay Velukutty. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
