Marivillin Gopurangal – The Indrajith Sukumaran-starrer family entertainer finally gets a release date!

The Malayalam film's theatrical release date has finally been confirmed by Marivillin Gopurangal's makers. The new-age romantic comedy is set to hit the big screen on April 12.

With an original release date of November 2023, the movie's posters, teaser, and songs were released over three months ago. In the unlikely event that the theatrical release date is not confirmed, the producers did not rule out the possibility of an unexpected postponement. Subsequently, the film's makers announced that February 16 would mark the big screen premiere. Early in the same week, the date was altered.

Marivillin Gopurangal to release among other much-awaited films

The film will be released a day after a number of highly anticipated projects, such as Fahadh Faasil’s Aavesham and Vineeth Sreenivasan’s directorial Varshangalkku Shesham. A number of eagerly awaited films are reportedly scheduled for release in Vishu 2024, offering movie buffs a huge treat.

It is said that the theatre charting process has already been started by the producers of these films. However, the full list of Vishu releases is not going to be accessible until the end of March.

Marivillin Gopurangal stars Indrajith Sukumaran, Vincy Sony Aloshious, Sarjano Khalid, and Shruti Ramachandran in the key roles. Arun Bose, who has directed Tovino Thomas' Luca, is directing this movie. Both Pramod Mohan and the director have written the screenplay for the film.

A romantic comedy exploring the evolving dynamics of contemporary relationships was alluded to in the teaser. Whereas Shinu and Sherin (Indrajith Sukumaran and Shruti Ramachandran, respectively) are married couples, Rony and Meenakshi (Sarjano Khalid and Vincy Sony Aloshious) are in love and soon to become parents. When the latter stays with Shinu and Sherin, their lives take an unexpected turn, and they begin to view marriage and love differently.

Salim Kumar, Bindu Panicker, Sai Kumar, and Johny Antony are some of Marivillin Gopurangal's supporting cast members. Vidyasagar composed the soundtracks for this film.
