Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar have been the talk of the since March 1. From international celebrities like Rihanna and Akon performing on stage to Bollywood superstars like Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar grooving to songs, the gala event had it all. The celebrations have also invited several controversies. After Ram Charan’s makeup artist revealed that she left the event after Shah Rukh Khan "disrespected" Telugu actor on stage, now actor Arshad Warsi’s wife, Maria Goretti, has objected to the use of rescued elephants as props at in Vantara.

Maria Goretti took to her Instagram stories to post a picture of Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, with an elephant standing behind her as a prop. She wrote, “I’m appalled at the picture of the Ambani celebration. I don’t think this should happen to any animal, especially not to animals that are being rescued and rehabilitated. Heart breaking just heart breaking that this elephant was made to stand like a prop, in the middle of noise and people (breaking heart emojis).
Anant Ambani, son of business tycoon Mukesh Ambani, rescued 200 elephants and brought them to Jamnagar to his wildlife sanctuary called Vantara. Vantara is his pet project.

Earlier, a video of Shah Rukh Khan using the names of South Indian dishes to call Telugu actor Ram Charan on stage to dance to Naatu Naatu during an event led to backlash on social media. This surfaced when Ram Charan’s makeup artist, Zeba Hassan, posted on Instagram that she left the venue after hearing Shah Rukh’s offensive words.
And that's not all. Superstar Rajinikanth is also facing criticism for something that took place during the celebrations. The Thalaivar attended the pre-wedding festivities with his wife, Latha Rajinikanth, and daughter, Aishwarya Rajinikanth. He also faced the ire of netizens when a video of him surfaced in which he was seen asking his house help to step aside while he was posing for photographs with his family. Netizens have slammed this as "unacceptable", calling it "cheap" and "shameful".
