Marco, which started on an impressive note, has collected Rs 115 crore within its month-long run at the box office. The film’s producer Shareef Muhammed shared the box office figures of the Unni Mukundan-starrer, directed by Haneef Adeni.
Notably, Marco gained recognition in other regions, including in Delhi and Telugu which also contributed to the impressive numbers.
Shareef Muhammed, who produced Marco under his Cubes Entertainments, also revealed that the film is still being screened at over 450 screens worldwide. Check out the poster shared by him on social media.
It is interesting to note that Marco continues its run in theatres well into the New Year as other Malayalam movies have entered the fray. Among the new releases, Asif Ali’s Rekhachithram has gained the maximum attention and has already been declared a hit, winning over both critics and audiences. The film, also a thriller, is directed by Jofin T Chacko and stars Anaswara Rajan and Manoj K Jayan in key roles.
Unni Mukundan stars in the lead role of Marco, the character he played in the 2019 film Mikhael which starred Nivin Pauly. Both Marco and Mikhael have been directed by Haneef Adeni.
In the 2024 film, Marco goes on a brutal rampage after Victor, who is visually impaired, gets killed. Jagadish and Abhimanyu Thilakan play the cold-blooded villains of the film, which also features Siddique, Kabir Duhan Singh, and Anson Paul in key roles.
