The much-awaited Mohanlal starrer Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham has finally navigated its way to the cinemas, and fans have so much to say after the First Day First Show. The Priyadarshan movie has been a viral headline since its announcement and the period drama has won most of the hearts who were expecting a classic visual treat.

Among the mixed reviewers on Twitter, most of them agree that the movie is a classic period drama, which is rich in its cinematography and art works. The war scenes and the VFX seems to have created a great visual impact to the audiences who were waiting for a theatrical experience in its fullest, after a long time.

The performances of the cast is another major applause according to the fans. Mohanlal and Pranav Mohanlal have been repeatedly named while appreciating the cast. Actress Keerthy Suresh is also hailed as a ‘queen’ for her appealing work. The background score and art direction are also praised by most of them, tagged with the opinion that it has helped in capturing the iconic essence of a period drama. “Never gonna happen this kinda visual treat in next 5yrs in M’wood”, a fan tweeted.

Meanwhile, a major portion of the fans are quite disappointed with the script. They wrote that the movie will be a failure for those who expect a massive entertainer. Rather than being a hot-blooded thrilling flick, Marakkar is a classic, emotional biopic according to them. There are also many lagging scenes, which makes the whole script dull and boring, as tweeted by the fans. There are also opinions that the movie resembles previous historic dramas in many ways.
