Manu Ravichandran is quite excited about the release of his next, Mugilpete, a film he has high expectations of. Scheduled to hit theatres in Karnataka on November 19, the Bharat Navunda directorial pairs Manu with newbie Kayadu Lohar.

Manu has been taking special interest in the promotions of the film, considering that it is a comeback vehicle of sorts for him that’s been produced by his friends. It’s a process that he’s been enjoying, involving himself in every aspect of the film’s making, which will continue till it hits screens next week. Today, the actor released yet another song from the film; this time around, it’s the full video of the song Jeans Alli Mass, in which he’s seen romancing Kayadu.

Written by lyricist-filmmaker Chetan Kumar, the song has been composed by award-winning composer Sridhar V Sambram and sung by Tippu, with choreography by A Harsha. In an earlier conversation with us, Sridhar had said that Manu was also involved in the music of the film, sending Sridhar inputs after every version of a song, which involved a lot of to and from until they zeroed in on the final versions of each number.

For what it’s worth, the music of Mugilpete that has been released in the public domain so far has been quite enjoyable and Jeans Alli Mass is the next in line. The soundtrack has six numbers, apparently, so, more launches are likely before November 19.

The film, says Manu, is an intense love story packaged as a family entertainer that rides high on emotions and explores father-son, mother-son relationship dynamics. There are also the issues that crop up between people in love, and how they deal with it, he adds. Mugilpete will also be a visually-pleasing film, as it has been shot in locations across Sakleshpur, Thirthahalli, Chikkamagalur, Kundapur, etc.

“My first two films didn’t work out the way I expected them to, so, Mugilpete is a project that I have given special attention to and made sure that everything about it is as perfect as can be,” he says.
