Manoj Bajpayee's latest film Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, released on Tuesday.
Manoj Bajpayee is currently enjoying the favourable feedback and word-of-mouth for his latest release, 'Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai.' The actor is receiving all the plaudits for his role in the movie, which is based on a true story.
The actor spoke candidly about his financial situation and how he still observes mainstream cinema from the outside and hasn't integrated himself into it in an interview with Aaj Tak. When the actor was informed that a Google search revealed his net worth to be Rs 170 crore, he was promoting his movie Bandaa.
As soon as he heard this, the actor gave a shocked reaction and said, “Baap re baap! Aligarh aur Gali Guleiyan kar ke? Bilkul nahi hai par haan itna zaroor hai bhagwan ki daya se ki mera aur meri patni ka budhapa ache se guzar jayega aur meri beti set ho jayegi."
Manoj was asked about his trip from Bettiah, Bihar to the upscale South Bombay neighbourhoods of Mumbai during the same interview. The actor responded by swiftly stating that he actually lives in a modest neighbourhood rather than a fancy area in Mumbai.
The actor said, “Main South Mumbai ka nahi hun, na Bandra ka hun. Main abhi bhi Lokhandwala, Andheri mein rehta hun and main humesha kehta hun ke main cinema, iss film industry ke beech mein nahi hun. Maine ye choose kiya tha ki main film industry ki boundary pe baitha hun. Ye mera chunav raha hai (I am not from South Mumbai or Bandra. I still live in Lokhandwala, Andheri and I have always said that I am not in the middle of this film industry but standing at it’s boundary. It is a choice I have made).”
