Manoj Bajpayee recently watched The Archies with his daughter, Ava. The actor asked his daughter to speak in Hindi just like the film's characters.

Zoya Akhtar's The Archies marked Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, and Khushi Kapoor's acting debuts. The film, which premiered on Netflix, opened to mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. And now, actor Manoj Bajpayee has revealed he watched the film with his daughter, Ava. In an interview, the actor said that he watched 50 minutes of the movie with his daughter. The Archies was released on December 7, 2023.

In an interview with Zoom, Manoj Bajpayee mentioned that he suggested his daughter to speak in Hindi just like the characters in The Archies.
"My daughter was recently watching the film The Archies. Nowadays, young kids speak a lot of English. So I scolded her saying you must speak in Hindi. I told her to watch the film and she said 'okay'. I asked her, 'How are you liking the film?' She said, 'okay'. By then, I had watched 50 minutes of the film," revealed Manoj.
The actor further mentioned, "Archie (comics) is not a part of my growing-up years. We had Motu Patlu and Ram Balram. I must have read one Archie comics and I only remember Betty and Veronica. I was watching The Archies because of my daughter. Fir maine kaha, they are speaking in Hindi, tumko bhi Hindi bolni padegi. Toh she said, 'What is your problem dad? Please let me watch the film'. But beti ne kaha aapko dekhna padega and said, 'You are not giving family time'."
About The Archies
Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana played Veronica in The Archies. Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya starred as Archie, while Boney Kapoor and the late Sridevi's daughter Khushi Kapoor played the part of Betty. Zoya Akhtar's movie was based on the famous American comic book series Archie comics.
Besides the aforementioned actors, the star cast of this OTT film included Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, Yuvraj Menda, and Dot. A grand premiere of The Archies was held in Mumbai before its Netflix release on December 7, 2023. The who's who of Bollywood attended the event and made it a star-studded affair.
