Soubin Shahir and Sreenath Bhasi reunite in Manjummel Boys after Bheeshma Parvam
After the success of the 2021 comedy drama film Jan. E. Man director Chidambaram has now ventured into his second movie, titled Manjummel Boys. The movie started rolling in January, and is touted to be an entertainer.
Shot mostly in Tamil Nadu, the team has recently wrapped up its Kodaikkanal schedule. Released a while ago, the first look of the upcoming film showed a group of boys climbing a tree, set against the backdrop of undulating hills. Along with them, two monkeys are also seen climbing the tree, adding to the delightful mood of the poster.
According to the makers, the film deals with travel and friendship, and is not an out-and-out comedy movie. Soubin Shahir who tasted success by backing Romancham is said to be supporting Manjummel Boys as well. Soubin, alongside Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese and Ganapathi will play pivotal roles in this film. Sreenath and Soubin will be reuniting in this movie, after their appearances in Bheeshma Parvam, Parava and Kumbalangi Nights. Meanwhile, Balu, Sreenath and Ganapathi are known for their onscreen chemistry in the film Honey Bee. Filmmakers Khalid Rahman and Lal Jr are also part of the movie’s cast.
The technical crew includes names like Shyju Khalid, doing the camera work, and Vivek Harshan, in charge of editing. After his hit compositions for Bheeshma Parvam and Romancham Sushin Shyam will be looking to continue his good work in Manjummel Boys.
Meanwhile, Soubin’s next movie with Namitha Pramod is also likely to be an entertainer. It went on floors recently. He will also be seen alongside Tovino Thomas in Nadikar Thilakam. He also has lent his voice to the canine film Valatty: The Tale of Tails which will hit theatres on July 21. The movie, according to the makers, is a first-of-its-kind movie in the history of Indian cinema.
