Manjummel Boys producers in trouble after failing to share profits, court freezes their bank accounts

The petitoner asserted that Manjummel Boys producers including Shawn Antony and Soubin Shahir had broken their promise and failed to pay him any money after its Rs 200 crore box office run.

The makers of Manjummel Boys, which has earned over Rs 200 crore at the box office, has suffered a major setback after a court in Kerala has ordered to freeze the bank accounts of its producers, following a petition by Aroor resident on Saturday.

Issue between the Manjummel Boys’ producers and Siraj Valiyathara

Siraj Valiyathara, the petitioner, approached the court, claiming that Parava Films, Manjummel Boys' producers, and partner Shawn Antony had promised him a forty percent share of the profits following the film's release. An additional sub-judge then issued the order. Siraj, a native of Aroor, allegedly contributed Rs 7 crore to the project. He asserted that the other producers had broken their promise and still failed to pay him any money.

After the hearing, the court ordered the authorities to freeze Shawn Antony, Babu Shahir, and Soubin Shahir's bank accounts. The producers received a notice from the court as well. The public is not yet aware of additional details regarding the problem.

Manjummel Boys made a collection of over Rs 200 cr

The Telugu and Hindi versions were just released, and the team has already earned over Rs 200 crore at the box office. It had already had a fifty-day successful run in theatres and received positive reviews from theatres in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

The survival thriller broke several significant box office records in Kerala and other states, and according to the most recent reports, it will soon make its digital debut. According to reports, the Chidambaram-directed film will debut on Disney+ Hotstar on May 3.

The makers allegedly paid a significant sum for the digital rights to Disney+ Hotstar, taking into consideration the box office and theatrical success of the movie. The film's realistic friendship theme and survival thriller genre attracted a large number of viewers to theatres nationwide.
