In a recent interview with a YouTube channel, Vijay Muthu teared up and had an emotional breakdown, while being congratulated for the film's success. Visibly choked by his emotions, Vijay Muthu managed to say, "I had the desire to enter cinema since the age of 12 and faced much struggle. The actor also said how it took him 32 years to get to the place and faced much struggles in his path. He also said how actors can be easily boxed and typecast into one role. "It is not like we should be only playing rowdy roles. Do we look like that only? In Manjummel Boys, my character might be negative, but there will be a changeover in him and gets a deserving arc. He is the one to decide at a crucial point in the film. I should thank the team of Manjummel Boys. Soubin sir also appreciated my work,” he added.
