The movie, which is helmed by debutant Aamir Pallikal, was shot extensively in the UAE
Manju Warrier’s Ayisha, which had completed its shoot earlier this year, is gearing up for its release. The makers announced that release date of the movie while revealing that the audio rights of the film were bought by Saregama Music on Wednesday.
The entertainer, which is touted to be the first ever Indo-Arab entertainer, went on floors in Ras Al Khaimah in January 2022. It was extensively shot in the UAE, with a few schedules in Kerala and Mumbai.
Classmates fame actress Radhika is also part of the film, which has a host of international actors from Philippines, Nigeria, Syria, Yemen, UAE and Tunisia. The movie, which is scripted by Aashif Kakkodi who had also co-written Halal Love Story, is expected to release in Malayalam and Arabic, as well as in several other Indian languages in October.
The “fun, family entertainer”, which is set in an Indo-Arab backdrop, also has a song choreographed by Prabhudeva. The video of the song was shot in Ras Al Khaimah over a course of four days. The song, which is composed by M Jayachandran, had several languages and almost 200 artistes performing in it.
Apart from Ayisha, Manju, who is currently shooting for Ajith’s AK61 that is directed by H Vinoth, is also gearing up for the release of Vellari Pattanam. The film, directed by debutant Mahesh Vettiyar, has Manju and Soubin Shahir in the lead and is a comedy entertainer.
The actress, whose previous release was Santosh Sivan’s Jack ‘N Jill, is also set for her Bollywood debut with R Madhavan in Amriki Pandit. In Malayalam, she has signed Dhyan Sreenivasan’s 9MM, which is expected to be a Malayalam-Tamil bilingual action thriller that also has Sunny Wayne as part of the cast. The movie is expected to go on floors later this year.
