The movie, which was shot in the UAE and Kerala, also features a song choreographed by Prabhudeva
The team of Manju Warrier’s Ayisha, which is helmed by debutant Aamir Pallikal, wrapped up its filming on Wednesday. The upcoming theatrical release had a lengthy schedule in the UAE before completing its production in Kerala.
Harris Desom, one of the co-producers of the film, took to his social networking page to share the update on the movie and that the movie will be heading to post-production phase now. Ayisha, which went on floors in January 2022, had an extensive schedule in Ras Al Khaimah, where they shot at the Al Qasimi Palace. Part of the film was also shot in Mumbai.
Apart from Manju, the film also has Classmates fame Radhika, who was last seen in the Shane Nigam-starrer Oolu in 2019. The movie also has a bunch of international artistes from Tunisia, UAE, Philippines, Nigeria, Syria and Yemen.
In an earlier interview with OTTplay, the movie’s director Aamir had said that Ayisha is a fun family entertainer that evolves in an Indo-Arab backdrop. The team is planning to release the film in Malayalam and Arabic along with versions in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
The movie also has a dance sequence choreographed by Prabhudeva that was shot in Ras Al Khaimah. The track, composed by M Jayachandran, has several languages and had about 200 artistes performing. It was shot in four days.
Scripted by Aashif Kakkodi, who had also co-written Momo in Dubai and Halal Love Story, Ayisha is expected to release in theatres unlike Manju’s most recent film Lalitham Sundaram, which dropped directly on Disney+ Hotstar.
Meanwhile, Manju has also completed shooting for G Prajesh Sen’s Meri Awaaz Suno, Sanal Kumar Sasidharan’s Ahr’ Kayattam and Vellarikapattanam, which has her sharing screen space with Soubin Shahir. The actress is also expected to begin shooting for Venu’s Kaapa in Thiruvananthapuram next month. The movie also has Prithviraj Sukumaran, Asif Ali and Anna Ben.
