Roshan Mathews and Darshana Rajendran's Malayalam film PARADISE is all set to be screened on October 7 at the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. After C U Soon and Aanum Pennum, Roshan and Darshana will be seen together again in this upcoming Malayalam film that is loosely based on the 2022 Sri Lankan political crisis.

PARADISE is the story of a young Malayali couple whose trip to the island nation to celebrate their wedding anniversary turns into a nightmare as unforeseen events unfold. Their relationship is put to the test, exposing hidden tensions. Love, deception, and crime are the themes explored in the film.

'PARADISE highlights life's realities'

Speaking about his film, prominent Sri Lankan director Prasanna Vithanage said that his film aims to explore life's realities, their effects on relationships, and highlights the disparities in social differences. The movie is said to have brought out deeper truths about human nature through the characters' struggles with societal and personal conflicts.

PARADISE at the Busan International Film Festival

The first glimpse that audiences got of the movie was through the first-look poster that was released earlier. The latest from the film is that it is all set to have it's Now the makers have announced that the film will have its world premiere on October 7 at the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. It will also be competing for the Kim Jiseok Award.

Cast and crew of PARADISE

Apart from Roshan and Darshana, the film also has Shyam Fernando and Mahendra Perera in supporting roles. It is helmed by prominent Sri Lankan filmmaker Prasanna Vithanage, who is known for films like Death on a Full Moon Day (1997) and August Sun (2003). PARADISE is presented by filmmaker Mani Ratnam under his Madras Talkies banner. The film will be released in English, Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and Sinhala.

Roshan Mathews in Ulajh

Roshan, who was last seen in the Fahadh Faasil-starrer Dhoomam, will be seen in the Hindi film Ulajh alongside Janhvi Kapoor. The film is directed by Sudhanshu Saria and follows the story of a young IFS officer. The film also stars Gulshan Devaiah, Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, Sachin Khedekar, Rajendra Gupta, and Jitendra Joshi.
